Born in Singapore in 1956.
Studied Piano in England and France from 1979-1985.
Currently a piano teacher in Singapore.

2013: Lien Shih Sheng Literature Award
2017: Singapore Arts Council's Golden Pen Award, Merit Award,
     Works: "Companionship" (novel), "Singapore You Understand and Don't Understand" (collection of poems)
2018: Fang Xiu Literature Award for Excellence in Short Story,
     Work: "Those Lost Fragments of Historical Puzzles"
2019: Singapore Arts Council's Golden Pen Award, 2nd Place in Poetry,
     Work: "When Fake Becomes Real, Real Becomes Fake"
2018 & 2020: Finalist for the Clan Association's Annual Literary Award,
     Works: "Opening the Ocean Route, the Amazing Telok Ayer" (collection of poems), "An Extra mile" (novel)
2021: Gimme 10 Radio Play Competition, 2nd Place,
     Work: "Mom's Sewing Machine"
